The epic battle between 80’s badass robots begins! Robocop vs the ever so persistent T-800. Who would win this ultimate clash between the two?!
Born Alex J. Murphy, Murphy was an upstanding Detroit Police Officer who was brutally killed in the line of duty by infamous crime boss, Clarence Boddicker. His organic parts were then used into the cybernetic law enforcement entity: RoboCop – OCP Crime Prevention Unit 001. Reborn as Robocop, Murphy is essentially a one man army capable of taking on entire gangs by himself. Limited only by the 4 prime directives, Robocop was the answer the crime ridden Detroit was looking for.
Weapons and other capabilities
Robocop’s main weapon is the Auto-9. Stored in a holster built into his right leg, Robocop’s Auto-9 is a very advanced select-fire machine pistol that contains a 50 round clip that he is capable of firing with pin point accuracy. His accuracy is so great, he even went as far as bouncing a bullet off of a refrigerator to hit a perp who was holding a child hostage.
The Auto-9 is capable of firing single shots and more commonly 3 round bursts. It has 6 different types of ammunition: armor piercing, flechette, high explosive, non-lethal, seeker, and standard 9x19mm Parabellum ammunition. Robocop is also capable of replacing his left hand with a 9mm machine gun, a flamethrower, a minigun, a cannon, and a small missile launcher with a projectile potent enough to destroy an armored vehicle. Robocop has also been shown to have reflexes so intense that he was able to catch a bullet that was fired at him and even shoot one out of mid air. He even once saved Sting from the 4 Horsemen.
While using portions of Alex Murphy’s living tissue, Robocop’s body is mainly robotic. He is protected by an armored shell composed of “titanium laminated with kevlar” making him very resilient against both missiles and bullets, as well as falling off buildings and being hit by cars. The armor can sustain multiple high-calibur rounds before damage begins to appear on the armor itself. It is also very resilient to heat; In Robocop 1, he was unaffected after being caught in a gas station explosion and in RoboCop 3 he was briefly set on fire and unaffected. Robocop has also been shown to tank building busting bombs and a Class 1 biotoxin bomb. He also survived a 3000 psi hydraulic press.
Despite all of Robocop’s technological advances, he still needs maintenance and tune ups from time to time. Also, his organic systems need to be monitored by a doctor or scientist at all times. Another fault of Robocop’s is he is easily programmable and can be made to do malicious activities. He’s also capable of being dismembered.
The 800 series was Skynet’s first cybernetic organism, with living tissue over a hyperalloy endoskeleton. This made it Skynet’s first successful Infiltrator unit, capable of infiltrating the Resistance where the 600 series with it’s rubber skin and appearance had failed. The 800 series was also the model chosen by Skynet to first go back to kill Sarah Conner before she gives birth to John Conner, the resistance leader. However, the 800 series was inadvertently responsible for the birth of John Conner having been the reason for Kyle Reese to travel to 1984. Although capable of having many different faces, the 800 series model 101 (the one from the movies) was modeled after Chief Master Sergeant William Candy.
Weapons and other capabilities
The 800 series is generally issued with a Westinghouse M-27 Phased Plasma Battle Rifle in the 40 watt range or General Dynamics RBS-80 Phased Plasma Pulse Gun. It is also programmed to be able to use every documented military weapon to ever exist. The 800 Series has also been shown to be extremely skilled in the use of the .45 longslide automatic, the model 1887 Winchester lever-action shotgun, the Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun, the Heckler; Koch MP-5s, the M-79 grenade launcher, the Uzi 9-millimetre, and the M-134/GAU-2b minigun. The 800 series terminator is extremely accurate, being able to unload a minigun into a crowd of people and not hit a single person.
The model is equipped with a Neural Net Processor CPU, or “learning computer.” This gives it the ability to adapt to its surrounding and even share all information with all over previous 800 series units. It also has the ability to run at speeds of over 25mph.
Since it’s destruction at the end of T2 with molten metal, the 800 series endoskeleton is now built out of Coltan which is capable of withstanding temperatures of over 5000 degrees. It was also built to withstand heavy punishment such as being slammed into buildings and cars while hanging from a crane block.
As well as its increased armor and strength, the 800 series robot is outfitted with a series of action network circuits which act like tiny bursts of adrenaline to get the unit “pumped” up for a fight so that it is able to hit harder or run faster. The 800 series robot has been shown to take massive amount of damage such as being blown in half or having limbs removed yet still be able or willing to fight.
The 800 series weakpoints would have to be it’s joints as seen in T1 when Kyle Reese was able to blow one in half by placing a pipe bomb in it’s joints. It has also been shown to be able to be dismembered and have it’s limbs crushed. Another weakness would be the power source the unit runs off of. The 800 series units run off of two hydrogen fuel cells that when damage even slightly can blow up with the force of a small hydrogen bomb. It is however, still able to function properly with at least one fuel cell although it may not be as fast or as strong.
Now that the facts have been laid out, who do you think would win in an all out fight between the 800 series Terminator and Robocop?[socialpoll id=”2210796″]
