Hello Strangers, Nerds, and all you Strange Nerds,
Before I begin on my Nintendo Switch Do or Do not (there is no try) for the Nintendo Switch I want to say hello.
HELLO!! Sorry I have not posted anything in a while I just became the proud father of tiny paduwan and have had very little free time. SO LETS DIVE ON IN SHALL WE!!??
Nintendo Switch has its live treehouse stream tomorrow night to unvail (hopefully):
– Backwards compatability
– Orginal content
– And Most importantly Launch Titles
So After the Wii U Blew Hard I will admit that I have really lost all hope of Nintendo Pulling themselves out of the home console gutter. I honestly have low to no hope for the Switch but I still want to experience Zelda: Breath of the Wild in its fullest format.
Before I start on the vague mystery wrapped crap sandwich that has been the Switch’s PR strategy I want to talk about a fundamental flaw that began at the Wii phase of the home console conversation. Nintendo sacrificed graphics for and amazing new gameplay experience and at the time they weren’t too too far behind competitors. As the 360 and PS3 progressed even they optimized graphics to give cinematic quality games. Nintendo lost the their Identity which was original gameplay AND STORY. Whoever decided that the appropriate way to compete with HD gaming consoles was to just sidestep the importance of making good looking games was/is high. Aside from the ever spaced out Zelda titles there are very few gripping stories or cinematic games that make their way to the Nintendo consoles. The Wii U was a stupid concept that I assume was inspired by the idea that Nintendo has always been the only name that matters in handheld entertainment before Iphones appeared. Truly the idea was innovative but very easily perfected by Playstation and Microsoft through streaming gameplay to your laptop.Nintendo jjust really needs a homerun and honestly I don’t feel like I am alone in saying that I don’t think this is it.
On to the Vague BS that has been the information provided on the new console.
– we know it has multiplayer capabilities
– we know it can convert to several different types of gaming system
– We know it will play cartridges
– we know that it has a tv cradle that is how it stream to your television
*****Literally aside from rumors those are the only statements that have proven themselves true.
I am hoping to be overwhelmed with excitement after the upcoming press conference but I somehow feel as if this is a non starter and I should hold on to my Wii U for a while.
