Jesus, there are times I wish i could be in the room with you goddam philistines. Lets go through this topic by topic.
Yes the Falcon with the score behind it sent me into nerd spasms. Definitely the biggest ‘geek’ moment of the year for me. Theories on the ‘mystery sith’ in the trailer…I’m not afraid to look at leaked concept art and whatnot, so spoilers ahead. Ive seen concept work for who i believe is this character, and he seems to be a partially robotic human that is obsessed with all things Darth Vader. It some of the work I’ve seen he has a breathing apparatus similar to Vaders. I don’t think he will be a trained Sith, just doing his best to live the life of one. Thus the crackly unstable red saber, built by untrained hands. Oh, and in the now defunct expanded universe Chewie dies by having a moon slammed into him, and I’ll accept NOTHING less from this new universe! Oh, and the voice over has already been confirmed as Andy Serkis…Cumberbatch so far has no connection to Episode 7 whatsoever. He however is in talks to play Dr Strange…but thats a story for another day.
My saber design? A perpendicular dual bladed design similar to a tonfa or police baton. Color? Silver. The color I always chose in Knights of the Old Republic. Blake, your design is more than feasible cause I’ve never seen a Jedi showdown where they didn’t get right up in each others faces.
I find Blake and Brads lack of faith in Boba Fett….disturbing. Boba Fetts badassery for me has always stemmed from his look. Mandalorian armor is the shit. He was the first in a long line of badass characters that Lucas had killed off like a little bitch. More than likely Fett will get his own stand alone movie…and then you all will see. Also after a bit of research, I admit I don’t have very deep knowledge of the expanded universe…It appears that Fett actually had the opportunity to KILL Darth Vader in a one on one duel. Granted Vader bested Fett in the battle, Fett was able to distract Vader at the last second and could have killed him. Choosing not to only due to the fact that he didn’t desire to be hunted by the Empire for the rest of his life. And don’t feed me any lines about how that would have been a cheap win cause if Batman had done it that way you’d be throwing him a goddam parade.
Obi Wan took a dive cause he knew if the fight went on it would mean Lukes death. Luke would have rushed in and gotten himself killed. What Ben meant by his “strike me down” line is that his death directly sent Luke on the path to toppling the Empire aided by an ethereal Ben who could go anywhere at any time with Luke to push him towards the light side of the Force and becoming the greatest Jedi in history. Any other interpretation is wrong. Period. Thank you. Goodnight. THUNK<——- That was the mic.
As far as the whole Terminator/Roko's Basilisk thing…I…it…just…my nose is bleeding. How can three nerds gush over terminator for 15 minutes…just to turn on each other when…what is essentially, THE PLOT OF FUCKING TERMINATOR is brought up in a real life scenario? It boggles the mind. Blake, i commend you for not flipping the table over in frustration at that.
We're gonna have to get some kind of satellite uplink or hologram to get me in there so i can lay down the law when necessary. I gotta go lay down for a bit.
Dammit. …I can’t help but love you Moonbase10
Oh! When Moonbase says it, you can’t help but love him. When I say it, I’m a damn fool. I can only stands so much!
